House Fire on July 30, 2009

The Disaster Action Team was called out for a house fire in Convoy at just after midnight, Thursday morning. 4 members of the team responded, getting on the road by 12:25 and reaching the scene by 12:50 AM.
The Convoy Fire Department was the only department that responded, and while they prevented the loss of the home, there was major damage, including holes in the roof. The DAT provided coffee, Gatorade, and water to the fire fighters and gave aid to the family that lived in the house.
After making sure the fire was out, the fire fighters began cleaning up and released the DAT, who arrived back at the garage at about 3:30 AM.
- The fire fighters are still geared up and checking the house for hot spots.
- Some onlookers watching the fire fighters do their work.
- Some fire fighters taking a quick break for some drinks at the ERV.
- A fire fighter climbing on the roof to place a temporary cover over one of the holes.
- Geared up and heading for the upstairs to replace others that are checking for hot spots.
- Getting ready to pack up the ERV and head back to the garage.
