Pledge of Service to Those Affected by a Disaster
We will work with you to help determine your needs and plan your recovery, based on the effects of the disaster on you and your family, your specific damages, your personal resources and resources in the community. We will provide assistance to meet your disaster-caused basic needs, which may be different from those of your neighbors and friends. The Red Cross provides assistance to meet disaster-caused needs, and ensures accountability with you, our donors, and the American public. You will receive excellent customer service from your first contact with the Red Cross, until your last.
Health & Safety Services
We offer regular classes in First Aid and CPR in the chapter office and will give classes at local plants on request. We also provide information on preventing disasters as well as preparing for what to do when they happen. Information on class schedules can be found here.
Blood Services
We operate blood drives at local businesses and churches throughout the year. Information on donating blood can be found here.
Disaster Services
While well known for providing disaster relief during major disasters like tornadoes, hurricanes and floods, we also help with local disasters. From providing help at single family house fires to setting up short term shelters for hazardous materials spills, we work and train with local authorities to be as prepared as possible. Volunteers are the backbone of these services, and more are always welcome.
Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES)
We provide emergency communications between our serving military persons and their families at home.
